Where has the summer gone?
Last Sunday, our whole family was together once again for a very special send-off.
First of all, Caylea shared in the Sunday morning worship time about the drama tour group she has joined for the next 8 months, "Upside-Down Productions".  She is very excited and a little nervous about this ministry but it will take her across the western provinces and then to New York City in the spring!  The dramas they will prepare as a team will share the Gospel and communicate God's message wherever they present.
Mark and Amy will be serving with "Encounter School of Discipleship" under One Hope Canada (formerly CSSM).  Their adventure will begin in the Maritimes and every 3 to 4 weeks, they will travel from one camp to another across our wonderful country with the same group of about a dozen students.  Their role will be to mentor the young people who will be studying God's Word and finding opportunities to serve the local community.  So Mark and Amy shared at Healing Hearts Ministry about this opportunity they will be taking on for the next two years.
As we and the pastoral leadership gathered around our children, we prayed and commissioned them into the ministry the Lord had opened up for them.  What an emotional and momentous time for us as parents!  We committed them to the Lord as infants and here we stood, hands on their shoulders and eyes misting, seeing His Spirit leading them into new and challenging service for His sake.  Wow!
As Pastor Bob had opened the service, he mentioned the ride he and Walter had into the city from camp, sharing about all our kids and the paths they were on.  Their children are focused on ministry, although working at careers on the side, as well.  And our family are all involved in ministries of some sort and description, even our son, Daniel with his testimony as a Christian working in the trades!
God is good!  He is faithful.  He keeps His promises to care for and lead our children when we dedicate them to His purposes...

Psalm 37:5 ~ "Commit your way to the Lord;  trust in Him, and He will act."
